Nike released its first Black History Month product, a limited-edition Air Force 1, in 2005. That singular effort has since evolved into a yearly collection, each celebrating African American heritage and a more inclusive world for all athletes.
This year’s BHM collection will feature the Nike KD 11, Nike Kyrie 5, two Nike LeBron 16s, Nike PG 3, Air Jordan 1, Air Jordan 2, Jordan Why Not Zer0.2, Nike Air Force 1 Utility, Nike Flare 2, and two Converse Chuck Taylor 70 High. All silhouettes, was inspired by an assortment of national African patterns, brought together onto modernized prints in a theme of Afro-futurism in sport.
The Nike “BHM” Collection starts releasing as soon as January 21st, 2019 to as late as February 20th, 2019 at select retailers.
