What Do Current Nike Basketball Signature Athletes 2nd Silhouettes Have In Common?

I’m a social media whore so I notice that not everyone is feeling the Kyrie 2. The thing people aren’t feeling the most is the fact that they have a strap, but is that really uncommon for the second signature silhouette of Nike Basketball Superstar?

 

What does the Nike Zoom Generation 2, Nike Zoom Kobe 2, Nike KD 2, and the Nike Kyrie 2 all have in common? Besides the obvious of course. They ALL have a strap so are we really surprised that the Kyrie 2 has a strap?

 

Maybe this is a subtle theme by Nike. Either way it’ll be something I pay attention to for future Nike Basketball signature sneakers. Here’s a little history on the Nike Basketballs signature athletes second silhouettes:
