Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” Will NOT Return in 2025

Jordan Brand will be reintroducing the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” after a 9-year hiatus and is officially slated to comeback in the Spring of 2025.

In Game 5 of the 1997 Finals, a flu-stricken Michael Jordan willed the Bulls to a win against the Jazz while suffering from flu-like symptoms. MJ was the catalyst in making the Jazz’s 77-69 lead disappear as he scored seven points during a 10-0 run. MJ hit a 3-pointer that gave the Bulls a lead in the final minute and a half that they would not relinquish, which set up the famous clip of Scottie Pippen helping MJ off the court.

The last time we seen the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game” was 2016. There was also a release in 2009 and 2003 and the original released in 1997.

No images of the 2025 version of this Jordan 12 but they are dressed in a simple, but effective, black and varsity red color scheme. They feature a black leather upper with red leather overlays and finished with a red rubber outsole.

At this time, there is no exact release date regarding the Air Jordan 12 “Flu Game”, but they are expected to release in Spring 2025 at select Jordan Brand retailers. Stay tuned to SW for a first look, a release date and a retail price.
